Last updated: 15 July 2026 · For the Psybersafe Cyber Behaviour Scan. Our full company privacy policy is at psybersafe.com/privacy-policy.
The Cyber Behaviour Scan is a free tool from Psybersafe that shows you, or your team, where your everyday security habits are strong and where they need work. This notice explains, in plain terms, what the scan does with your answers. It sits alongside our main privacy policy, which covers who we are, our registered address, our EU representative, and how to complain.
Your answers (everyone). When you complete the scan we store your answers and a few background details you choose to give: your role, the size of your organisation, your sector, whether you have been affected by a cyber incident before, and whether you work in a security role. This is saved against a random reference only. It contains no name, no email, and no record of who you are. We use it to score your results and to build an anonymous benchmark that makes the scan more useful for everyone.
Your email (only if you give it). If you ask us to email your report, or you tick to join our newsletter, we create a contact record for you and store a summary of your result (your overall band and three headline scores, plus role, size and sector). We never attach your individual question answers to your email or your contact record. The newsletter is a separate, optional tick, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Team scans. If you took the scan through a team link, your anonymous answers are tagged with a team code so your organisation can see how the group is doing overall. Team reports only ever show combined results for five or more people. We keep team-linked results so a team can re-run the scan later and see how their habits have changed over time. We will delete a team's data on request.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the scan. Each only handles what it needs to:
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where your information is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards described in our main privacy policy.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time. Because the scan answers themselves are stored anonymously, we cannot single out one person's answers to change or remove them, as there is nothing linking them to you. For anything held against your email, or a team's results, contact us and we will help.
Email hello@psybersafe.com. For our data protection representative and how to raise a concern with a regulator, see our main privacy policy.
